In the UK, The Occupiers Liability Acts (1957 and 1984) state that: ‘the occupier of the site has duty of care to take reasonable steps to prevent or minimise risk of personal injury or damage to property arising from the presence of any tree on the site, or from its breakage or uprooting’. If you have a site that is open or accessible to the public, your property has a public right of way across it or by it or even any neighbouring properties. We can undertake a tree hazard assessment of the trees on your site, numerically tag them, prioritise from urgent to no work required, keep a fully computerised record and carry out any necessary work. These actions will cover your 'duty of care' under these Acts of Parliment. |
| We can also act on your behalf, liaising with the tree officers in local councils and reaching agreements as to appropriate actions, where trees are causing problems such as: overhanging boundaries, shading problems and trees in unsuitable locations. |
